Sign Up for Ultrafast Fibre Internet now!
Deviock Parish Council supports the Ultrafast Broadband community scheme. This is a forward-looking initiative that will benefit all residents.
If we take advantage of the available funding now, Fibre To The Premises and the benefits of Gigabit internet infrastructure could be available to us next year, at no cost other than a commitment from those participating to an initial 12 month contract with an appropriate ISP. If this initiative is successful the service will be available to all, but those not participating may be liable for the additional costs of bringing it into their homes. Although these upgrades are scheduled to roll out across the country from 2025, if we do not act now to secure this funding it is likely to be many years before they get to us, and when they do there may be additional householder costs attached.
Don’t need more speed? You may be fine today but in a few years you will be struggling as internet services demand more bandwidth and you may have to wait in line while the rest of the country moves ahead.
Don’t want to pay more? You probably won’t have to – where the infrastructure is in place ultrafast services start from as little as £23 a month.
Over half the required pledges are already in – if they can get to 100% by 15th December, they will be able to request vouchers from BDUK and allow for acceptances, queries and amendments before 14th January.
We have long enjoyed the benefits of the early roll out of fibre connectivity in the parish – let’s stay ahead of the game and get Ultrafast FTTP in place while the grant funding is available to do so.
The internet is an important utility, and we need to ensure that all residents in the parish have the connectivity and bandwidth they require for the foreseeable future.

Welcome to Deviock
Deviock is a coastal civil parish in south-east Cornwall situated approximately three miles west of St Germans and straddles the valley of the River Seaton.
The parish history of the St Germans area is complex and has been subject to much change. Two ecclesiastical parishes (Hessenford and Tideford) were created in the 19th century. Deviock civil parish was created as recently as April 1997 from part of the former St Germans Parish; it also includes parts of St Martin-by-Looe and part of Morval.
There are three electoral wards with Councillors representing the villages of Downderry, Seaton and Hessenford. The hamlets of Narkurs and Trelowia are also in the parish.
The Parish Council meets on the second Thursday of the month (except August and December) at 7.30 pm to hear the public and to conduct essential business. The full Council also meets on the third Thursday of December in order to approve the budget for the following year. The Parish Council Planning Committee meets to hear planning applications on the fourth Thursday of the month (not December) at 6.30pm.
All parish meetings are held at the Zone, Downderry Methodist Church.
